This fall, the Garden transforms after sunset into a breathtaking celebration of color and light with the debut of Super Bloom, a vibrant new exhibition by internationally recognized creative studio Graphic Rewilding. The exhibition launches a season filled with art, live music, festive seasonal plant displays and vibrant festivals celebrating fall and the return of the outdoor season.
Opening Oct. 9, Super Bloom by Graphic Rewilding invites visitors to get outdoors and connect with nature in a big way. Step inside glass houses radiating color and light, sit among flower clouds surrounded by blooms and find your center in a magical, night-blooming garden. This playful and engaging exhibition provides an artistic view of the Garden’s trails and plant collections, promotes wellness through nature and inspires visitors of all ages to explore the beauty and colors of desert plants with abandon.
The largest-ever solo exhibition by artists Lee Baker and Catherine Borowski takes an up-close look at the wonders of the Sonoran Desert in a vibrantly illustrated celebration of desert flowers and pollinators. Explore a world of giant flowers, colorful petals and joyful, larger-than-life art created by Graphic Rewilding. With more than 21 larger-than-life installations across the Garden, Super Bloom creates an immersive journey for visitors that can be experienced both day and night.

Graphic Rewilding is on a mission to transform public spaces through large-scale, nature-inspired immersive art installations. Borowski’s background in large-scale curation inspired Baker to bring his studio-based nature art into the public realm, and Graphic Rewilding was born. Drawing inspiration from sources as diverse as Japanese ink painting, Dutch still-life, and contemporary visionaries like Christo and Jeanne-Claude and Yayoi Kusama, as well as glass artists like Brian Clarke and John Piper, they craft graphically powerful compositions brimming with energy and lightness.
For more than two decades, the Garden has established itself as one of the nation’s premier destinations for art in nature, transforming the Sonoran Desert into an internationally recognized outdoor gallery where world-class art and extraordinary landscapes converge. Through groundbreaking collaborations with acclaimed artists including Dale Chihuly, Bruce Munro, Philip Haas, Rotraut, HYBYCOZO and, most recently, ScanLAB Projects, the Garden has continually reimagined what a botanical garden can be.
The Garden has created art experiences that seamlessly blend art and the natural beauty of the desert. These exhibitions have not only captivated hundreds of thousands of visitors but have also generated significant tourism and economic impact for Arizona by attracting regional, national and international travelers, in turn supporting local hotels, restaurants and businesses.
Tickets to Super Bloom go on sale Sept. 8 and are included in general admission and membership.
