Milkweed Ecology | Desert Botanical Garden

OPEN DAILY 8 A.M.|7 A.M. FOR MEMBERS WED. & SUN.

Milkweeds support more than just monarchs. They offer value to a variety of landscapes by providing nectar for pollinators and attracting predatory insects that are excellent for pesticide-free pest control.

Great Milkweed Grow Out is currently working on a project that documents insect visitation to four different species of milkweeds. The variety of insects is remarkable and will help further determine the usefulness of milkweeds in the Sonoran Desert landscape.
