Season’s greetings! It’s time to bundle up in some comfy jackets and drink delicious warm drinks as the chilly breeze comes in.
What you’ll need:
- Mason jar (or tall clear cup make that can be heated)
- Pipe cleaners
- Salt
- Hot water
- String
Step 1:
Grab your pipe cleaners and twist them up to make a snowflake (sometimes cutting the pipe cleaners can be helpful). When making your snowflake, make sure that it can fully fit into the jar/cup without hitting the sides or the bottom. container.
Step 2:
Cut off a piece of string that is double the length of your snowflake. Tie one end of the string to the middle of the snowflake and the other end to the pencil/pen.
Step 3:
Now set your snowflake into your jar/cup with your pencil sitting on top, adjust the length of your string if needed. Again, make sure that your snowflake is not touching the sides, bottom or top of the
Icy Masterpiece
What you’ll need:
• Plate
• Water
• Freezer
• Food coloring
• Dropper/pipette/spoon/paintbrush
Step 1:
Grab a plate that fits in your freezer and fill it about halfway up with water.
Step 2:
Find a nice spot in your freezer for it to chill overnight or for at least three hours.
Step 3:
While you’re being an amazingly patient human, it is time to get your painting supplies ready. Take out your favorite color food coloring and put out in some bowls mixed with water.
If you do not want to use food coloring, you can also use watercolors or paint.
Step 4:
Take out your frozen plate of water (now ice), grab your paint brush and paint a beautiful masterpiece.
