Activity | Build a Bird Nest | Desert Botanical Garden

OPEN DAILY 8 A.M.|7 A.M. FOR MEMBERS WED. & SUN.

It is spring, and birds everywhere are building nests to create a safe, warm place to lay eggs and raise their young. Take a moment to observe photos of nests online. What do you notice? How are they similar? How are they different?

Using natural materials from your backyard or household items, design and build a nest inspired by nature.

Extension: Ready for more? Create a giant nest for your human family. What does your family need to stay safe and warm.
