It’s almost Thanksgiving. That means it’s the time of the year people tally up their blessings and gratitude. Desert Botanical Garden has so much to be grateful for as another exciting year approaches.
Starting Dec. 3, Chihuly in the Desert opens to the public and members with an unforgettable exhibition at the Garden and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West. The holidays will shine extra bright this year at Las Noches de las Luminarias with the return of music performances, 8,000 twinkling luminaria bags and Chihuly’s masterpieces on display throughout the trails. The Garden also has a thrilling lineup of events for 2022 that will be announced at a later date.
But none of these events and exhibits are possible without the help of our donors, members, sponsors, volunteers and the community. The Garden is grateful for everyone who helps advance our mission of education, research, exhibition and conservation of desert plants of the world.
Thank you to the hundreds of volunteers and Garden staff who are helping install Chihuly’s work this month. If you’ve visited the Garden this month, you might have caught a glimpse of some pieces.

Thank you to our donors and their philanthropic efforts — so far in 2021, more than 18,000 donors have donated more than $5.4 million to support the Garden.
Last but not least, thank you to the community who supports us various capacities and continues to reinforce the Garden as a premier destination to learn and care for desert plants.
