Garden Venue Tours

See the possibilities for yourself.

The Garden invites you to explore our event venues with a complimentary self-guided site visit. Self-guided visits of the venues are available during non-special event, general Garden hours. Discover the spaces, take in the views and start imagining your celebration at the Garden.

To arrange a self-guided visit, please submit the request availability form and a Venue Planner will reach out to you directly. As we hold many events throughout the week, this will ensure the Garden is open, and venues will be available to see on your requested date.

Book Your Event

We recommend booking in advance, as dates fill up quickly. We are happy to place a complimentary ten-day hold for you, after which time we request that you move to contract. We require a 50 percent deposit of the rental fee at the time of contract, with the balance due at least two weeks prior to the event.

Plan Your Private Event

We offer on-site Venue Planners who are happy to offer advice to help create the perfect event experience. If you are planning to have food at your event, you will need to work directly with one of our approved caterers who will assist you with building a customized menu that suits your style, needs and budget.
 
Aside from the approved list of caterers and the Garden’s beverage service, you are welcome to use any vendor you would like (e.g. musician, photographer, florist, etc.). Please note that tables, chairs and linens are not provided by the Garden and we recommend you coordinate these through your caterer or a separate rental company.

Plan an Intimate Ceremony, Create A Lasting Memory

For those wanting a relaxed, intimate ceremony with their closest loved ones, Desert Botanical Garden offers trailside ceremonies for groups of up to 10 guests during regular business hours. Wedding couples have access to four beautiful public locations on the trails to exchange their vows in a truly iconic desert setting.

Couples wanting to host a trailside wedding should coordinate their visit in advance. While spaces for trailside weddings are public and cannot be reserved for private use, your Desert Botanical Garden contact can arrange for tickets, confirm availability and provide guidance for a joyful experience on this meaningful day.

FAQs

What Does The Rental Fee Include?
  • Usage of the venue for the contracted time
  • Designated time for set-up and tear-down of the event
  • Admission for your guests into the Garden the day of the event
  • One dressing room per wedding couple (if applicable)
  • A final walk through (typically held 10 days prior to your event)
  • A rehearsal the week of your wedding (if applicable)
  • On-site venue coordination
  • Directional signage (8.5 X 11 in.) from Admissions to your event venue
  • Trail maps for your guests (upon request; subject to availability)
  • On-site complimentary parking for your guests
  • Complimentary wheelchairs and discounted scooter rentals for your guests (upon request; subject to availability)
  • Garden Rangers on grounds 24 hours a day

The Garden does not have tables, chairs and linens available to rent. We recommend coordinating all rentals (tables, chairs and linens) through your caterer, but you can also work with an outside vendor of your choice.

The Garden has a liquor license. All alcohol must be coordinated through the Garden’s Beverage Manager, Bradley Timmons. Billing is based on consumption, and examples of billing design include:

  • Fully hosted bar
  • Hosted bar for only certain types of drinks such as beer, wine, and soda
  • Hosted bar that converts to a credit/debit bar when a certain dollar amount has been consumed
  • Hosted bar that goes to a credit/debit bar after a certain amount of time
  • Credit/debit bar with champagne toast only
  • Fully credit/debit bar
