Growing cacti and succulent plants from seed is rewarding but requires patience and an observant eye. Join Doug Dawson as he shares his many years of seed-growing knowledge to learn the nuances of successful germination. Learn a technique he has developed for amateurs without greenhouses and those with limited time and space. Limit 20.

Natural History of the Sonoran Desert

Using information and theories from biology, ecology, geology and archaeology, the class will explore the adaptations of desert animals, plants and other life forms, the landscape that set the stage for their evolution and the human cultures that have called this desert home.
