Las Noches De Las Luminarias Returns to Desert Botanical Garden With the Inclusion of World-renowned Glass Sculpture Artist Dale Chihuly

October 14, 2021

Phoenix, Oct. 14, 2021 – Desert Botanical Garden shines extra bright this holiday season with the return of a Southwest tradition Las Noches de las Luminarias and the inclusion of Chihuly in the Desert. Tickets for Garden members are on sale now, and general public tickets go on sale Oct. 18.

Eight thousand Luminaria bags will illuminate the Garden’s trails on select nights in December at Las Noches de las Luminarias, lighting up the night and the Garden’s 50,000 desert plants. Guests will enjoy live musical performances, entertainment and a photo booth experience with options for photos, GIFs and Boomerangs. To see the lineup of entertainment, visit dbg.org.

On Dec. 21, a silent night will be held, there will be no music this evening, just the peaceful glow of the lights and Chihuly’s masterpieces. Visitors will stroll the luminaria-lit trails of the Garden for an evening of self-reflection and rejuvenation.

This year, the event will glimmer even more with the addition of Dale Chihuly and his glass art masterpieces. Chihuly in the Desert showcases Chihuly’s stunning, large-scale installations nestled among the Garden’s world-class collection of desert plants. Featuring installations on the Garden’s trails complemented by a major indoor gallery in Dorrance Hall, the dynamic exhibition includes never-before-seen installations and is a must-see throughout the seasons.

Advance ticket reservations are required. Face masks also are required in indoor spaces and when social distancing is not possible. Learn more about the Garden’s safety precautions at dbg.org/safety.
