“Orchid Muse: A History of Obsession in Fifteen Flowers”

Join us during our inaugural orchid exhibit, Orchid Fever, for a talk by Erica Hannickel, author of the award-winning book “Orchid Muse”. Inspired by Charles Darwin’s work with orchids, Hannickel interweaves stories of the past to highlight and celebrate the role of this fascinating plant in promoting an end to slavery in America and around the world. Following the talk, books will be available for purchase and signing.
