Desert Discovery Camps 2024

The Garden’s Summer Camps are back! Register your child to one of three drop-off camps that will encourage the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts, conservationists and environmental scientists.
Desert Adventurers Camp:
June 10 – 13 & July 8 – 11
Ages 8–12
8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Program Fee: $295 for general public, $250 for Garden members.
Embark on an adventure about outdoor exploration and desert survival! Join us for immersive journeys through the garden, explore plants and animals of the desert, and tackle hands-on activities and challenges to become a desert adventurer.

Desert Explorers Camp:
June 17th – 20th & July 15th – 18th
Ages 8–12

Enter a captivating journey of the garden and blend desert exploration with exciting scientific discovery. Unravel the secrets of nature, participate in hands-on experiments and activities, and learn about the plants and animals of the garden as a desert explorer.

Desert Artists Camp:
June 24 – 27
Ages 12–16
8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Program Fee: $295 for general public, $250 for Garden members.
Embrace your creativity in the beauty of the desert. Explore photography, fine arts and an exploration of nature with the gardens’ unique plants and wildlife as inspiration. Develop art of your own and learn the skills to transform into a desert artist.

Cactus Clubhouse

Cactus Clubhouse has relocated as the Garden is growing and under construction. Please visit us in our new location in the Weisz Academic Bulding. In this temporary space, kids encounter several activity areas designed to spark independent play, while encouraging physical, cognitive and behavioral growth.
