Saguaro Census Sign-Up
9-11 a.m.
The Garden is launching the 3rd Annual Saguaro Census during May to document more saguaros throughout the Phoenix metro area. It is easy … download the iNaturalist app, sign in or log in with your account, find the ‘projects’ icon and join any of our two projects: Metro Phoenix Saguaro Census (general volunteers) or Volunteer Urban Saguaro Census (for DBG volunteers). This year our goals are to get more observers and observations, to visit already observed plants and report if they are dead, and fill in areas in need of more observations like Gilbert, Queen Creek, Laveen, Tolleson and Surprise. This year we have more exciting prizes for the volunteers with more observations.
