Kristen Countryman
Pollinator Outreach Coordinator
I lead the Arizona Monarch Collaborative, a statewide network focused on conserving native pollinators and their habitats. In this role, I work with partners across Arizona to advance pollinator conservation through collaboration, resource development, workshops, and community engagement. I am passionate about conservation of our native ecosystems including the plant–insect interactions that support biodiversity and ecosystem resilience. I earned both my B.S. in Conservation Biology and Ecology and my M.S. in Biology from Arizona State University. My graduate research examined the effects of wildfire on seed bank dynamics in Sonoran Desert Upland ecosystems with the goal of contributing to our understanding of post-fire vegetation recovery in our region.
