Desert Botanical Garden invites kids to engage with the outdoors around them at Cactus Clubhouse–a nature play space. The play area provides unstructured, child-led activities for kids under 12 to discover the fun of the natural world.

Garden Closures

Feb. 24 | Garden closes at 3 p.m.
Feb 25 -26 | Closed for anyone without a Devour ticket
Mar. 24 | Garden closes at 3 p.m.
Apr. 22 | Garden closes at noon
July 4 | Closed 

January – March | The Plants and People of the Sonoran Desert Trail will close at sunset.

General Admission | $24.95 – $29.95

Youth 3 – 17 | $14.95 – $16.95

Children under 2 & members | FREE

Active Military Personnel | FREE (with valid government ID for General Admission only)

*General Admission does not include special ticketed events or exhibitions.

Please remember that non-service dogs are NOT permitted in the Garden unless you visit on Dog Days.

What To Bring

To fully enjoy your visit, make sure you bring these items.

Sunscreen spray


Arizona’s weather is consistently sunny. Make sure to wear and reapply throughout your visit.

Water bottle


Bring a refillable waterbottle–the Garden has two open hydration stations.


Hat & Sunglasses

Shade your eyes so you can better take in the stunning views without squinting.



Capture all the of the beautiful plants and animals you’ll see.

Garden accessibility

The Garden is fully accessible via wheelchair, and most trails are stroller friendly. Scooters can be rented for $40 for non-members and $35 for members. Wheelchairs and electric scooters will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at admissions and will be sanitized after each use. 








* Only service dogs or miniature horses are allowed. If you would like to bring your dog to the Garden, please visit Dog Days in the Garden.
