DESERT BOTANICAL GARDEN’S SEASONAL BUTTERFLY EXHIBIT OPENS SEPT. 21
July 8, 2019Phoenix (July, 3, 2019) – Mighty monarch butterflies return to Desert Botanical Garden. Experience a diverse kaleidoscope of butterflies from the Southwest, and discover the magnificence of the mighty monarch butterfly—from their amazing migration to the plants they need to survive. Take a closer look at the butterfly lifecycle, and learn how to support and protect beneficial insects and pollinators.
The Garden works to educate patrons about all the life stages of butterflies, as well as the Garden’s work to protect them. Each week, hundreds of new butterflies are released in the pavilion, and new pupae are added to the caterpillar nursery.
