DESERT BOTANICAL GARDEN ANNOUNCES SUMMER HAPPENINGS

August 6, 2020

Things are heating up at Desert Botanical Garden, and that doesn’t just include the weather. From evening adventures with the friends and family to early mornings with your dog pack, the Garden’s trails offer a socially-distanced way to get out and experience nature.

The safety of members, guests, staff and volunteers is the Garden’s primary concern. In keeping with CDC guidelines and current measures in the community, the Garden has implemented several precautions, including limited capacity, touchless admissions, a one-way route and required face coverings for all visitors over the age of 6 and staff. Learn more about the Garden’s reopening precautions at dbg.org/reopening.

Dog Days at the Garden
Wednesdays and Sundays | Aug. 5-30 | 6-9 a.m.
Early risers are invited to bring their whole pack to the trails Wednesday and Sunday mornings from 6-9 a.m. at Dog Days at the Garden. Treat your dog to a morning stroll at the Garden. Each Wednesday and Sunday morning, you and your pup will have a tail-wagging good time exploring all the beauty and sniffs of the trails.

Sonoran Sippin’
Fridays |  July 31- Sept. 18 | 6:30-9 p.m.
Kick start your weekend with a welcome drink and an evening in nature at the Garden on Friday nights. Sonoran Sippin’ features music, socially-distanced fun and an after-hours look at Wild Rising’s glowing creatures. Each Friday will feature a different alcoholic beverage theme and programming.

Flashlight Nights
Saturdays | Aug. 1-Sept. 5 | 6:30-9 p.m.
Keep the weekend going with Flashlight Nights on Saturdays. Flashlight Nights are nighttime self-guided adventures through the Garden. Nocturnal explorers shine their own flashlights along the trails to capture the night-blooming plants and animals that appear in the desert after dark.
