DESERT BOTANICAL GARDEN ANNOUNCES SPRING PROGRAMMING

Phoenix, Jan. 14, 2022 – Spring at Desert Botanical Garden is a delightful experience with sunny days, floral blooms, and this year an extra layer of magic with the vibrant and colorful glass sculptures of Dale Chihuly. The Garden is excited to host several experiences for the whole family, while always keeping safety at the forefront. Learn more about the Garden’s safety precautions at dbg.org/safety.

Chihuly in the Desert
Dec. 3 – Jun. 19
Chihuly in the Desert showcases Dale Chihuly’s stunning, large-scale installations nestled among the Garden’s world-class collection of desert plants. The dynamic exhibition features 11 installations on the Garden’s trails with a major indoor gallery at Dorrance Hall.

Spring Butterflies
Feb. 26 – May. 8 | 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Thousands of butterflies take flight in the Valley’s only Southwest Butterfly exhibit. Learn how these fluttery creatures care for and protect the desert environment. Don’t miss the caterpillars, chrysalises and more!

Cactus Clubhouse
Feb. 26 – May. 8 | Open Daily
Desert Botanical Garden invites kids to engage with the outdoors around them at Cactus Clubhouse–a brand-new nature play space. The play area provides unstructured, child-led activities for kids under 12 to discover the fun of the natural world.

Cocoon
Feb. 26 – May. 8 | 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Saturday 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Calling all Insect Explorers! Outside the butterfly exhibit is a space just for you. Find fun, buggy activities, test your insect superpowers and more at Cocoon: A Space for Garden Play.

Dog Days at the Garden
Sundays, Jan. 9, 23 and 30 | 8 – 11 a.m. | Included with Garden Admission
Back by pup-ular demand! Dog Days are a perfect op-paw-tunity to walk the trails, heel for photo ops and meet other dog lovers amid the beauty of the Garden. Last dog admission is at 10:30 a.m.

Chihuly After Dark
Jan. 18, Feb. 15, Mar.15, Apr. 19, May. 3, Jun. 4 | 7 – 10 p.m. | Included with Garden Admission
Visit Desert Botanical Garden after dark and experience Chihuly in the Desert like never before. With colorful glass art, live entertainment, cash bars and snacks, all your senses will be immersed at Chihuly After Dark this spring.

Music in the Garden is back this spring with an unforgettable evening filled with the blockbuster exhibition Chihuly in the Desert and local musical talent. Agave on the Rocks

Blanco, Reposado, Añejo and Mezcal! Celebrate the agave spirits of the world while enjoying Chihuly in the Desert. Sip on a complimentary margarita while sampling an array of savory and sweet culinary treats from Valley restaurants and caterers. Stop by the Tequila Sampling Room to taste and learn how Roger Clyne’s award-winning tequila— Canción — is made. Salud!
