The Garden continues its annual exhibition of Ofrenda, or “offering,” which is part of the traditional Mexican celebration of Día de los Muertos. Ofrendas are created to remember and honor the memory of ancestors and loved ones that have passed. This year’s theme is: “Alebrijes y La Muerte.” The artists explore not only the visual concept of the Alebrije but also its origin and meaning as it applies to Mexican culture and the celebration of Día de Los Muertos.
