Storytime

Desert Botanical Garden is excited to launch children’s storytime on various mornings this summer. Each day Garden instructors will read different nature-themed books that highlight the wonders of the desert. Perfect for kids 2 and younger and their caregivers. Included with general admission.
Storytime will take place in Munson Outdoor Classroom.

Playing with Stars: Rotraut at Desert Botanical Garden

The bold and lyrical large-scale sculptures of Rotraut will enliven the Garden trails while a selection of her paintings and small sculpture fill the Ottosen Gallery. Families can get an up-close and unforgettable experience when more than 2,000 native Southwestern butterflies return for the Spring Butterfly Exhibit. Get acquainted with thousands of butterflies, observe each stage of their life cycle and learn what actions we can take to protect them.
Cactus Clubhouse
Jan. 1 - April 30
Desert Botanical Garden invites kids to engage with the outdoors around them at Cactus Clubhouse–a nature play space. The play area provides unstructured, child-led activities for kids under 12 to discover the fun of the natural world.
