Don’t let 30,000 plants intimidate you! Our on-site horticulture experts will help you find the perfect cactus, agave or ornamental to plant in your own garden. Specimen-sized plants and delivery services available. Volunteers and staff are available to answer questions, assist in selections and offer advice.

Natural History of the Sonoran Desert

The Arizona Natural History course will introduce students to the geology, flora, fauna and human history of Arizona. Using information and theories from biology, ecology, geology and archaeology, the class will explore the adaptations of desert animals, plants and other life forms, the landscape that set the stage for their evolution and the human cultures that have called this desert home.
