Artist Roy Wasson Valle will create a life-size image of a saguaro drawn in colored sand. The work is entitled Keystone Growth and uses the saguaro as a metaphor for the slow growth and progress a person embarks upon in a lifetime.
The work in progress will be available for viewing during all open Garden hours
Celebrate Mother’s Day and all things Mother Earth with author of “Earth Medicines: Ancestral Wisdom, Healing Recipes, and Wellness Rituals from a Curandera” Felicia Cocotzin Ruiz. Join the Garden for a book signing and Garden walks led by Felicia as she highlights some of the medicinal desert plants mentioned in her book.

Cactus Clubhouse has relocated as the Garden is growing and under construction. Please visit us in our new location in the Weisz Academic Bulding. In this temporary space, kids encounter several activity areas designed to spark independent play, while encouraging physical, cognitive and behavioral growth.
