Cactus Clubhouse Grand Opening

TIME: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Festivities will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m.
We invite and your family to celebrate the opening of Cactus Clubhouse, our new nature play space. Explore, create, and have fun in the outdoors with hands-on activities, face painting, a drawing for a family gift basket and more. Families are also encouraged to enjoy the first day of the Spring Butterfly Exhibit with a Butterfly Hunt and build your own insect activities at Cocoon. Drinks from Mama’s Cold Brew will be available for purchase from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Opening day activities include:
- Face painting: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Nest Buddies building activity: 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Spring Butterfly Exhibit: 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Cocoon: 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Transform into a butterfly, play pollen toss, build your own insect and more buggy fun at Cocoon, located just outside the Butterfly Pavilion. A butterfly hunt begins at 10:30 a.m. Meet at the Butterfly Pavilion and join Garden Staff on a guided butterfly hunt and wildflower walk, where children and families can learn to spot Southwest butterflies and more.
The Cactus Clubhouse is made possible by grants from the USDA Forest Service and the Pharos Foundation in collaboration with Dimensions Educational Research Foundation.
