How can you be an Earth Day hero? Join Saguaro and Friends to support the Garden’s mission of advancing excellence in education, research, exhibition and conservation of desert plants of the world with emphasis on the Sonoran Desert.

Did you know?

  • Cactus are the fifth most-endangered species on earth
  • More than two-thirds the total number of species in the cactus family and three-fourths the total taxa in the agave family are held in the Garden’s collection.
  • The Garden has more than 50,000 plants, representing more than 4,300 species. This includes several hundred taxa that are rare, threatened or endangered.
