DESERT BOTANICAL GARDEN’S SPRING BUTTERFLY EXHIBIT RETURNS MARCH 2
January 18, 2019Phoenix, Ariz. – Hundreds of Southwestern butterflies are fluttering back to Desert Botanical Garden with the opening of the seasonal butterfly pavilion. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of vibrant butterflies up close March 2 through May 12, while learning about their role as pollinators, characteristics of their lifecycles and the Garden’s conservation efforts to protect them.
The Garden’s Butterfly Pavilion works to educate patrons about all the life stages of butterflies, as well as the Garden’s work to protect them. Each week, hundreds of new butterflies are released in the pavilion, and new pupae are added to the caterpillar nursery.
