Dinner on the Desert Celebrates Conservation, Community and the Beauty of the Garden | Desert Botanical Garden

OPEN DAILY 8 A.M.|7 A.M. FOR MEMBERS WED. & SUN.

Desert Botanical Garden hosted its 40th annual Dinner on the Desert, one of the Valley’s most anticipated philanthropic events, on April 25. The evening was a milestone in every sense, celebrating the Garden’s dedicated volunteers and raising $1 million to support its mission to bring people together to protect and celebrate the unique wonders of the desert.

More than 700 guests arrived to a warm welcome and a sunset reception that showcased the desert’s iconic colors. The evening featured an elegant outdoor dining experience, curated with locally-inspired cuisine that highlighted the flavors and agricultural heritage of the Southwest. Throughout the night, attendees enjoyed live entertainment, a silent auction and a chance to experience the Garden’s immersive exhibits and plant displays.

This year’s event was chaired by Trustee Hank Arens along with a committee of over 20 community leaders. “Dinner on the Desert was an unforgettable night. The Garden celebrated the event’s 40th anniversary by honoring its roots—its volunteers—inviting dozens as special guests. It was a true celebration of community,” said Arens.

Garden President & CEO Chris Kline said, “What we witnessed tonight was more than a gala it was a shared belief in the power of the desert to bring people together, spark wonder and create lasting impact. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this incredible $1 million evening possible”.
