Self-Guided Field Trips
What is Included:
- Orientation to the Garden
- Access to the Garden trails
- Add on Special Exhibitions
- 2 or more hours for self-guided exploration.
Guided Field Trip
What is Included:
- Orientation to the Garden
- 2 Hour Guided Field Trip: Hands on activities and guided trail walks.
- Curriculum Guide: Pre and post visit curriculum to use in your classroom
- Classroom Outreach: 1 hour outreach program with hands-on activities designed for a class of up to 30 students.
- Guided Field Trip Offerings:
- K – 2 | Watch Me Grow – Plant & Animal Life Cycles
- 3 – 4 | Survive & Thrive – Plant & Animal Adaptations
How to Book
- Your visit is only confirmed after an Education team member sends confirmation.
- Select school partners may qualify for grant-funded field trips.
- Pricing is $12 per student for self-guided visits and $15 per student for guided visits. Teachers and chaperones are complimentary within ratio.
Add-On Experiences
Add on experiences are available seasonally and on a limited basis. Please indicate on your request form if interested in adding one to your visit
- Happiness Tour | Self-guided audio, available in English or Spanish.
- Desert Guardians Booklets | Self-guided superhero activity booklet.
- Fall Butterflies | Sept. 26 – Nov. 15
- Super Bloom | Oct. 9 – May 31
Lunch & Food
Outside food and drink besides water are not allowed in the Garden and there is not a space on-site for lunch. We recommend Papago Park for lunch before or after your visit, and using time on the bus for snacks.
Parking & Arrival
Bus parking and unloading zones are available on the Field Trip Map.
Upon arrival, an education team member will meet your group to orient you to the Garden.
