Explore a living collection of 55,000 plants, including 4,800 species and 420 rare and endangered plants, alongside the world’s largest cactus and agave collections.

Explore five distinctive trails across 55 acres, revealing the beauty, resilience and cultural stories of desert plants from the Sonoran Desert and around the world.

Docent Tours
Available in the fall
Join a volunteer docent for a small-group walk through the trails, learning how native plants shaped Indigenous life in the Sonoran Desert or how the Garden’s collection survives the heat.
Audio Tours
Available year-round
Self-guided and always available, our audio tours walk you through the trails at your own pace, from the birds overhead to a happiness-themed route built for slowing down.
Onsite Activities

Hands-on and take-along, our activities meet every age where they are, from scavenger hunts for kids to hands-on stations scattered throughout the trails.

The Garden is fully accessible via wheelchair, and most trails are stroller-friendly. Scooter rentals are $40 for non-members and $35 for members and are available on a first-come, first-served basis at admissions.
Neurodivergent & Sensory Needs
Sensory-friendly kits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at admissions.
Service Animal Accommodation
Only service dogs or miniature horses are allowed. If you would like to bring your dog to the Garden, please visit Dogs in the Garden.
SNAP Program
Starting October 1, guests with a valid EBT card can purchase admission for $9.95 per person, Sunday through Thursday, for up to four guests per card. A photo ID and the EBT card are required at the time of purchase. This discount is available in person only.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I bring for my visit?
Sunscreen, water, a hat and sunglasses will go a long way in the desert heat, along with comfortable shoes for the trails and a camera for the views. Shirts and shoes are required for all guests.
What am I not allowed to bring in?
Picnicking items, pets and therapy animals (service dogs and miniature horses excepted) and weapons or firearms aren’t permitted.
How much is parking?
Free parking is available, with a dedicated area for rideshare drop-off and pick-up. Overflow parking is available during peak visitation. EV charging stations are available onsite.
Can we bring our own food in?
Picnicking items aren’t permitted in the Garden. Dining is available onsite at Gertrude’s by Tarbell’s and Garden Grab & Go.
Can I bring in my dog?
Only service dogs and miniature horses are permitted in the Garden. Want to bring your pup along anyway? Check out Dogs in the Garden, where specific mornings and evenings are available to pups.
How much time does it take to see the entire Garden?
Most guests spend 90 minutes to 2 hours exploring, though many stay longer to catch a full sunset or evening event.
