Laguna Beach, 2025

“Traveling with Patrons Circle members provides excellent opportunities to meet new people with interesting life experiences and like-minded commitments to gardens and preservation. We had a fabulous adventure together in Laguna Beach learning about the varied ecological zones. We enjoyed topographies of coastal hillside grasslands, coastal bluffs, beaches, a rare Pacific estuary, and unique gardens with horticulturists and knowledgeable and entertaining docents. We enjoyed the art walk through Heisler Park, a sculpture garden, and hands-on chiné-colle printmaking with an artist from the Festival of the Arts. We fostered camaraderie and shared stories at the delightful meal venues with delicious cuisine. We highly recommend joining future Patrons Circle trips to explore the world and meet new people!”

Galápagos Islands, 2024

“We all soon became like family, cruising by ship, zodiac or kayak around several of the Islands and hiking to see a rescue, recovery and education center, nesting Blue-footed Boobies, Magnificent Frigatebirds, endemic variations of finches and mockingbirds that inspired Charles Darwin, giant tortoises, land and marine iguanas, specialized sea lions and fur seals, dolphins and an occasional whale. Our Captain went out of his way after dark on our last evening to take us to where fresh lava was flowing into the sea just yards from the ship.”

“It was a pleasure co-chairing the Patrons Circle trip to Tucson. We explored the seeds of Tucson and the stars of the galaxy. Connecting with this special place with fellow supporters of the Garden expanded my knowledge of Southern Arizona’s biodiversity, unique art culture and globally renowned food scene. It’s now fun to reminisce with fellow Patrons whenever I see them at Garden events, and I look forward to the next trip!”
