IUCN SSC Cactus and Succulent Plants Specialist Group (CSSG) aims to promote the conservation of succulent plants across the globe. CSSG is a global network of experts working toward the conservation and sustainable use of cactus and succulents. CSSG guides new research, acting as a source of information and education, hosting regular workshops and more. In 2015, CSSG partnered with Desert Botanical Garden, which acts as the host institution to aid the group in leading, promoting and furthering cactus and succulent conservation efforts worldwide. Currently, there are members in Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America.
