Kevina Devereaux is the Senior Director of Community Partnerships at Desert Botanical Garden, where she leads the organization’s social responsibility initiatives and community partnership strategies. She works to strengthen partnerships, foster meaningful connections, and ensure the Garden remains an inclusive and welcoming space that reflects and serves its diverse community.
Kevina joined the Garden in 2019 as Manager of Workforce Development & Diversity in the Human Resources department. In 2021, she was promoted to the Executive Leadership Team and was entrusted with shaping a dedicated area focused on organizational social responsibility and its impact on the community. Since then, she has led efforts to integrate social responsibility into the Garden’s mission, expanding its reach and deepening its engagement with the communities it serves. She also oversees the Garden’s urban agriculture partnership at Spaces of Opportunity, a 19-acre incubator farm, family gardens, and on-site farmers market in South Phoenix that increases access to fresh, healthy food and promotes active living.
Kevina serves on the Board of Directors for the American Public Gardens Association. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Kevina earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dillard University and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. In recognition of her professional achievements and community impact, she was honored as a recipient of Dillard University’s prestigious 40 Under 40 award in 2024.
