Andrea Bailey joined Desert Botanical Garden in 2022 to temporarily support the Volunteer Services program during a time of transition. What began as a short-term commitment quickly became a calling. Having previously served as a volunteer herself, Andrea recognized in the Garden not only a place of beauty and learning, but her own right livelihood. She soon stepped fully into the role of Program Director for Volunteer Services.
She is committed to expanding diversity and accessibility within the volunteer program, ensuring opportunities to support the Garden are open to individuals of every background and ability. Andrea’s leadership is grounded in more than three decades of experience in design, business operations and relationship management. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics, Psychology and Interior Design. Her 30-year career was spent with a Herman Miller dealership, where she served in roles spanning design, project management, account management and regional leadership before ultimately owning her own dealership in Phoenix.
Today, she brings that same entrepreneurial spirit and people-centered leadership to the Garden.
