The Garden’s trails now shimmer in gradients of cool blues and new stunning light installations at Desert Oasis Garden After Dark.
The summertime exhibit recharges the After Dark experience with more than 12 light installations, including an immersive light lounge inside The RAF Gallery Exhibit.
In addition, HYBYCOZO’s Equilibrium sculpture, generously provided by Patron Circle donors, is now a permanent fixture at the Garden at the Ahearn Portal. See glowing patterns, shifting shadows and larger-than-life blooms made entirely by light.
And that’s not all.
Desert Oasis Garden After Dark includes new details that make it an entirely unique visit from Spring Garden: After Dark experience.
At the Garden’s admissions area, shimmering clouds will replace the pixel rain pillar tubes that will immediately immerse guests into the new season. Four lightning trees will glow along the trails, electrifying some of the Garden’s mighty desert-dwelling trees, like the Chilean mesquite along the Desert Discovery trail. An updated color scheme will transform the bridge light installations and pyramid at the Heritage Garden with cool tones.
At the Lewis Desert Portal, a shimmering photo wall and gobo projection on the ground and trellis will create an ethereal summer vibe for guests. These new additions will assure guests that summers at the Garden aren’t so “blue.”
Additional updates include new colors and flowers added to the Fairy Duster installation along Quail Run, the Garden’s Butte will be washed in cool tones and colored lights and the Christensen Family Desert Oasis will have a new gobo pattern in cool tones.
Paired with one of the Garden’s summertime events like Sonoran Sippin’ on Fridays in June or a Saturday evening family-friendly outing at Flashlight Nights, guests will be left in awe and discover all the cool ways the Garden does summer.
