  • Rad Dads Stations: Learn about the father’s role in animal and plant families. Do mesquite seed pods have a father? You bet! Do damselfly and frog fathers have a role in raising their young? Not so much. However, Gambel quail and cactus wren dads set a high bar and are very involved in raising their young!
  • Creature Features: Liberty Wildlife will join us as well with their owls and raptors.
  • Great Arizona Puppet Theater:  Old MacDonald has moved off of the farm and onto a ranch right here in the Sonoran desert! Come along and meet all the native Arizona animals for this silly sing-along show. After each performance, stay to make your own puppet!

Discover how Carver’s vision for agriculture and sustainability connects to Arizona’s local community. Enjoy a fun-filled evening for the whole family featuring hands-on activities like making leaf prints, exploring the many uses of plants, a free book giveaway and more! Come learn, create and celebrate the lasting impact of one of history’s great innovators.
  • Desert Portal: Learn how plants of the Sonoran Desert can be used to create dyes and make a book mark painted with cochineal insect dye.
  • Center for Desert Living: Discover how Carver’s vision for agriculture and sustainability connects to Arizona’s local community. Sample delicious food created by Chef Ana and take home a sweet potato plant.
