Dinner on the Desert Helps Raise More than $450,000 | Desert Botanical Garden

Desert Botanical Garden hosted its 36th annual Dinner on the Desert on April 23. The event raised more than $450,000.

The proceeds from the event will help support the Garden as a premier destination in desert plant conservation and its mission to advance excellence in education, research and exhibition of desert plants.

More than 600 philanthropists, community leaders and Garden friends attended the event and experienced Dale Chihuly’s glass masterpieces in Chihuly in the Desert. Event chairs Mac and Russ Perlich welcomed guests that evening.

Garden guests enjoyed musical performances by Pete Pancrazi Jazz Duo, AJ Odneal Duo and Jack Alves and live painting by Arizona watercolor artist Paige Poppe.

“Russ and I have attended Dinner on the Desert for more than 10 years, considering it the best event of the season. This year, thanks to the work of a fabulous committee and steadfast staff, we collectively created another magical evening. Russ and I were honored to serve as the chairs of DOD 2022,” says Mac Perlich, event co-chair.
