Gardening in the low desert can be challenging. The Sonoran Desert has unique soils, temperature extremes, two rainy seasons and many other factors that impact plant growth in the landscape. We will discuss the basic characteristics of desert soils, sun exposure, frost damage and pest problems. This introductory class will demonstrate how you can work with, and not against, these factors to be a successful desert gardener.
