The Desert Botanical Garden is located in Phoenix, Arizona, near the cities of Scottsdale and Tempe, on 145 acres in the midst of the red rock buttes of Papago Park at 1201 North Galvin Parkway, Phoenix, Arizona 85008.

Public Transportation

Desert Botanical Garden is accessible by Valley Metro light rail and bus system.  Complete light rail directions can be found here.  The Valley Metro bus stops at the intersection of McDowell Road and 64th Street. From the bus stop it is a five-minute walk to the Garden admissions area.

The Desert Botanical Garden shuttle service connecting the Garden with the Valley Metro Light Rail system ceases operation for the summer at the end of day, May 31, 2009.  The shuttle service, funded by a generous grant from APS, transported more than 7,000 visitors to the Garden from the Priest/Washington Street station.  There was no cost to ride the shuttle van.
