Intermediate Desert Photography and Photoshop

If you enjoyed Beginning Desert Photography or are ready for the next step in your photographic journey, this new workshop offered by Wilson Wyatt of Selective Focus Art is for you. This workshop will expand upon the objectives of beginning photography, as well as open up new horizons for amateur photographers and those wishing to refine their photography skills.You will build upon a solid foundation and learn new tricks of the trade to add depth to your personal repertoire. Bring your camera, camera manual and a notepad. This is a great opportunity for intermediate students to gain additional hands-on instruction from a professional in the field. Both digital and film cameras are welcome. Students will also get the opportunity to Photoshop their work digitally and learn new editing skills in a classroom setting. Optional and suggested additional equipment list provided. Recommended prerequisite: Beginning Desert Photography or related experience. Limit 15.

Taking Better Pictures: Fall Basic Photography Series

Professional photographer Steve Ehre helps you understand your camera's capabilities and principles of composition for higher quality and more rewarding photography. Includes Thursday evening classroom discussions, image presentations through digital projection or prints, and critique sessions, along with Saturday photo sessions at beautiful locations around the Valley and the Garden. Fall Macro Photography Series with Steve Ehre (Workshop FULL)

One of the longest-running and most popular photography series at the Garden, macro (close-up) photography returns with professional photographer and artist Steve Ehre. You will learn to get the most out of your camera with super macro images of wildflowers, butterflies or any subject you find, in addition to increasing your overall photo skills. Learn the basics of close-up photography through discussion, slides, critique sessions and field experience, including photo sessions at the Garden and other locations around the Valley. Recommended for intermediate to advanced photographers. Suggested equipment list provided. Film or digital cameras are welcome.
