Why is the Sonoran Desert the only place in the world where the famous saguaro grows in the wild? Learn how the unique climate of the Sonoran Desert's bi-seasonal rainfall results in more plant species than any other North American desert. Explore how climate is affected by latitude, terrain and altitude as well as nearby water bodies and their currents.
